Adam Batten
Informatics Fellow
Dr Adam Batten received his PhD from Swinburne University of Technology in 2022 in astronomy and astrophysics. During his PhD he specialised in using large, simulated Universes to measure the properties of the matter outside of galaxies, and developed new methods to observe galactic evolution. After his PhD he has focused his interests on multi-disciplinary research in areas including, mapping tree canopy coverage in local councils, real-time tracking of satellites in orbit and performance testing in human-AI teams. In 2024, he helped in developing realistic magnetic-field head simulations with the goal of creating diamond-based magnetometers for magnetoencephalography (MEG). In 2025, he joined Swinburne Neuroimaging (SNI) as a part-time Neuroimaging Informatics Fellow.
