Flora Mansour

NIF Scientist | Radiochemistry

Dr Flora Mansour began her career in medicinal chemistry, focusing on fluorine chemistry to enhance drug development and PET imaging, and has since built expertise across the entire nuclear medicine pipeline, including radionuclide production, radiochemical separations, radiopharmaceutical development, and facility operations. She has contributed to the development and translation of novel radionuclides such as terbium-161 and mercury-203, advanced radiopharmaceuticals based on terbium-161, lutetium-177, iodine-131, and mercury isotopes, and played a key role in training and mentoring Australia’s radiochemistry workforce.

As NIF Radiochemistry Manager within the Sydney Imaging team, Flora brings extensive leadership and technical expertise that will help ensure the National Imaging Facility’s radiochemistry platforms continue to deliver world-class support to researchers, industry partners, and the broader nuclear medicine community, while returning to the fluorine chemistry that first inspired her career in molecular imaging.
