The Melbourne Brain Centre Imaging Unit (MBCIU) is an innovative facility dedicated to advancing medical imaging research. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a 7T MRI scanner and a PET/CT system, the MBCIU supports collaboration between researchers and clinicians exploring a wide range of conditions, from neurological disorders like multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease to the impacts of traumatic brain injury. The MBCIU’s expertise spans anatomical, functional and molecular imaging, providing high-resolution, non-invasive insights into the brain and other body systems.
