17 June, 2026

This four-hour workshop is convened by the National Imaging Facility Museums Special Interest Group, and is aimed at discussing practices, challenges, and progress in biodiversity (and heritage) object 3D imaging.
We will hear diverse perspectives on acquisition, data management, storage, platforming, curation, and other topics from speakers including museum collections staff, researchers, students, NIF staff, industry, and the GLAM sector. A final discussion will focus on funding opportunities to address the challenges identified in the workshop and the Group’s regular meetings.
As in 2024, we have a great cross-section of speakers including museum collection staff, NIF node colleagues, and research users.
Start time: 9am WA, 10.30am SA, 11am AEST
