Monash Biomedical Imaging

Monash Biomedical Imaging (MBI) is a world-class facility for biomedical imaging research and contract research studies. MBI offers world leading expertise and advanced technologies to conduct and support both pre-clinical and clinical studies. The state-of-the-art equipment includes 3T MRI clinical scanners also capable of imaging large animal models, simultaneous MR-PET, 0.064T clinical scanners, 9.4T MRI scanners, small and large animal CT, ultrasound and focussed ultrasound and small animal PET and FLECT – CT systems. MBI’s sites in Clayton and Prahran are uniquely co-located with the Australian Synchrotron, Monash University and the Alfred Hospital, enabling a broad range of ancillary research, contract research support and translational capabilities.
