Maths in the Brain 2026

31 March, 2026

After a successful launch in 2019, Maths in the Brain will bring together researchers with a shared interest in understanding the brain from a quantitative perspective. Leading experts will meet in person to present their latest work on mathematical modelling of brain structure and function to understand how disease affects the brain and how coordinated brain activity gives rise to perception and cognition.

This year’s ‘Maths in the Brain’ workshop will be held on 31st March, 2026 at the Sandrige Events Centre Port Melbourne. Details regarding abstract submission procedures and deadlines, as well as registration information, will be announced very shortly. As in previous years, registration will again be free, although RSVP will be required.

We are pleased to announce that this year’s international keynote will be delivered by Professor James Cole (UCL, UK). The remainder of the speaker lineup will be announced shortly.
