Dr. Mahdieh Dashtbani Moghari specialises in biomedical image processing (MRI, CT, CT perfusion), data analysis, artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, predictive analytics, and statistics. She completed her Master of Research degree (HD) in Applied Physics at Macquarie University in 2017 and has since done PhD (Grade A) in Biomedical Engineering and subsequent post-doctoral research at the University of Sydney.
She has developed optimised algorithms to extract meaningful information from the clinical data/images, improve quantitative analysis of high-volume and high-dimensional clinical data, enhance image quality, and optimise imaging protocol. She has done collaborative research work with Westmead hospital, Macquarie University, UNSW, and Aurecon’s data science team.
She is currently working as neuroimaging analysis fellow with the University of Sydney and NIF. Her work focuses on developing optimised pipelines for quantitative analysis of clinical MRI (fMRI, diffusion MRI, perfusion MRI, structural MRI) and clinical data.
