- Human MRI facility at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health
- Preclinical MRI facility at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health
Scope and function:
The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health provides access to two 3 T human MRI scanners dedicated to research: A Siemens TRIO – a 60cm bore MRI scanner; and a Siemens Skyra – a 70cm bore MRI scanner. It also provides access to a 4.7 T small animal MRI scanner. These facilities provide the research community access to state-of-the-art imaging for human and preclinical research.
Researchers using the node also have access to an animal facility with PC2 and surgical capabilities, and trained staff to assist visiting experimentalists or to perform the work on a cost-recovery basis.
- The Florey Node is an active member of the Victorian Biomedical Imaging Capability (VBIC)
