The University of New South Wales (UNSW) Node provides access to two 3T MRI systems (Siemens MAGNETOM Prisma & Vida) at RINSW that are fully integrated in the clinical environment of the Prince of Wales Hospital. This allows clinical trial research to be carried out with full clinical support.  In addition, through NeuRA, the UNSW Node provides access to another 3T human MRI scanner (Philips Ingenia 3.0T CX) with state-of-the-art spectroscopy and neuroimaging capabilities.

Further, the UNSW Node provides an extensive range of large and small animal imaging equipment, including a 9.4T horizontal bore MRI, Micro PET/CT, X-ray, ultrasound, optical imaging and magnetic particle imaging.

Power Capabilities

The UNSW Node has a range of animal housing facilities at the BRIL site, while the NeuRA site is situated close to medical facilities and houses patient interaction rooms adjacent to the scanner. The RINSW site is located in the Prince of Wales Hospital and has unrestricted access to professional medical support. As a shared facility, RINSW provides basic research and clinical trials research services for patients and study participants.
