Advisory Board
The Advisory Board is broadly based on expertise in the field and extends beyond the scope of NIF. The Advisory Board includes leaders (national and international) in the technology supported through NIF (PET, MRI, biomarker development, large animal imaging and imaging bioinformatics), but also technology in related fields not covered by NIF. This Committee meets at least biannually and develops collaborative research proposals for submission to national and international funding agencies.
Users Committee
A User Committee ensures that the needs of the imaging users are met. This Committee is chaired by the Director of Operations and includes the NIF Facility Officers. This Committee’s role is to ensure that NIF is meeting, where practical, the needs of external researchers. Up to four external users will be invited join this committee; ideally these researchers will not be members of a NIF participating university. This committee will meet biannually.
